The drive is sold in three formats: standalone drive, a notebook kit, and a desktop kit. The standalone version includes the drive and a 3.5" mounting bracket, while the bundles includes the drive, mounting bracket (Desktop Kit), a 2.5-inch external enclosure (Laptop Kit), SATA data cable (Desktop Kit), and hard drive cloning software with installation guide. Kingston sent us the standalone drive.
Overall the standalone package is rather simple, but includes an adhesive-backed 2.5mm spacer, since the drive is a scant 7mm thick. It would have been great to also see a 3.5-inch drive bay adapter, but it's an easy place to cut costs on budget drives.
