OCZ Vertex 4 256GB SSD Review

A Closer Look

The Vertex 4 sticks with the same low-profile design of previous Vertex drives with mostly monochrome graphics adhered to a matte black top surface. Flipping it over reveals an attractive brushed metal underside - another trademark of OCZ drives. Despite peoples' complaints about lightweight gadgets not giving off enough of a premium feel these days, the Vertex 4 weighs under 4 ounces and feels very well put together. We didn't have any issues mounting the SSD or the aluminum 3.5" to 2.5" adapter in our tower, as everything is machined with precision. The power and data transfer pins are easily accessed with standard SATA and 4-pin cables.
