SteelSeries Flux Luxury Edition Headset Review

product

With so many mobile devices to choose from in the marketplace, these are good times for the coffee shop writer/gamer. This is why SteelSeries has launched a new line of products aimed at giving nomadic techies added functionality on their tablet while maintaining compatibility with a primary desktop or laptop. The Flux Luxury Edition is a great example, as it offers the big drivers and chat performance of a full-size headset in a durable and compact package.

Overview

Preconfigured in a SteelSeries black and orange design, the Flux Luxury Edition is the SteelSeries Flux enhanced. Consisting of a black base headset, special edition silver side plates, orange swappable mobile/Mac® & PC cables, and premium leather ear cushions, we even included an extra set of glossy black sideplates for the all black look. Finally, we added a carrying case to stow and protect it all.

By definition, the word flux is change, mutability, rate of transport and more. By manifestation, the SteelSeries Flux is the most customizable and versatile headset we have ever developed.

The Flux is designed to go everywhere and anywhere you want to go. The design allows for a high quality audio experience whether you are on the train, competing at gaming tournaments, at the office, or kicking back at home.

Eye-catching packaging is something we've come to expect from SteelSeries products. The Flux Luxury Edition is no exception. The headset comes in a carton not unlike one you'd stick in a microwave, and the contents are satisfyingly filling. Besides the headset itself, you get a pair of glossy black side plates, a soft-sided carrying case, PC and mobile/Mac cables, a black 7 foot extension cable, and documentation.
