SteelSeries Kinzu V2 Pro Gaming Mouse Review - Final Thoughts

Final Thoughts

After using the Kinzu v2 Pro for some time, we're left questioning the target market for this petite pointer. Its key qualities: MSRP $45, 3-buttons, smaller size, Omron switches, and Pixart sensor all point towards budget gamers who want lightweight, no frills hardware with reliable feedback, and 'tournament-grade' status. The problem is, the highly acclaimed CM Storm Xornet offers Omron switches and two additional buttons at a $10 discount. If you value overall comfort over switch type, it would be foolish to pass on the SteelSeries Kana which has 5-buttons (TTC) and the same Pixart sensor at only a $5 premium.  Whatever your reasons are for picking up the v2 Pro, rest assured that you are getting a quality mouse that should stand the test of time.

The Good

The Bad

  • Comfortable ergonomics
  • Tournament-grade Omron switches
  • Slippery Teflon feet
  • Limited number of buttons (3)
  • Limited CPI scaling (400, 800, 1600, 3200)
  • Glossy finish feels as slick as it looks
