Gamers will appreciate the added protection and ease of transport offered by the Beacon's included console sleeve. It expands to comfortably fit an Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, or PS3 in addition to a power brick, controller, and a handful of games.

IMG7028The Beacon's integrated raincover is a godsend for anyone who has suffered water damaged books or ruined electronics at the hands of a sudden downpour. The raincover is stored in an area sandwiched between the laptop and main compartment. It can be accessed via a hidden zipper in the weatherproof bottom lining. The design of the raincover is far from an afterthought, as it features an elastic band and Velcro loops that attach to the pack itself.
Picture10Certain features allow the Beacon to double as an outstanding commuter pack. The rear carrying strap and exterior stash pocket offer a great means of carrying a U-lock and strobe light for cyclists. As previously noted, the height of the main compartment provides ample space to stash a helmet atop a pile of gear. Should the unexpected rain shower hit, the Beacon is always prepared with its integrated rain cover. And did we mention the lifetime warranty?

We will put this bluntly, the Beacon holds a ton of stuff.  And not in a cluttered, haphazard sort of way, but with plenty of pockets for neat organization.  Check our video demo of it!

As is usual for a product designed with quality materials and the user in mind, the Beacon’s strong points vastly outweigh its weaknesses. In fact, it’s only fair that we wish Everki would offer the bag in different color schemes to suit the tastes of a variety of buyers. Because with a feature set like this at a reasonable price, who wouldn’t want one?

We couldn't say for certain, but the notebook compartment is quite large, and it might be a squeeze, but i would be surprised if it didn't fit. I would try to find one of these at a retailer and see if they'll let you give it a shot!

If we see this notebook in a store and we have our Beacon on us, we'll try it out for you, but I wouldn't trust that it will fit, but rather find a way to test it out!
