Dirt 3 is a popular rally racing game, one of the several popular racing series by Codemasters, and uses their EGO 2.0 Engine to create very realistic environments and particle effects while using the latest Direct X11, which the GTX 500-series cards were designed for.
The benchmark was run with maximum settings at 1920x1080 resolution and 8XQSAA.
The relative performance from the stock ASUS GTX 560 Ti 448 Core are shown in the table below:
|ASUS GTX 560 Ti 448 (850MHz)||eVGA GTX 560 Ti (950MHz)||ASUS GTX 560 Ti DCUII (830MHz)|
|Difference||+11.3%||<1% ~ 0%||-12.7%|
In DirectX 11 performance in Dirt 3, we see overclocks having a stronger effect on performance. The GTX 560 Ti at 950 MHz was essentially the same as the stock ASUS GTX 560 Ti 448, but we still see a large 11.3% boost when overclocked to 850MHz, and the stock 448-core providing a 12.7% advantage over the 830MHz GTX 560 Ti DCUII.
