Deepcool Gamer Storm Assassin CPU Cooler Review

If your PC is having trouble beating the heat, then maybe it's time to enlist the help of some cold-blooded professional hardware. Meet the Assassin, the flagship of Deepcool's newly christened Gamer Storm line of enthusiast products. It doesn't take long to appreciate this CPU cooler's killer looks, but how does it stack up against the other heavyweight performers in our charts?

Deepcool Gamer Storm Assassin

The twin-tower heatsink provides more heat dissipation area than traditional heatsinks. More than 2 fans can be mounted on the heatsink to achieve extraordinary cooling performance. A shark teeth fin design not only advocates aesthetics of the heatsink, but also allows better air conduction between fins. The entire heatsink is nickel plated for a great high-quality look.

Eight high-performance copper heat pipes ensure the best cooling effect for the processor. The heat pipes are precision bended and soldered onto the copper base to enhance the heat conductivity from the processor to the heatsink. For the quickest heat transfer, the copper base has been CNC machined to a flat, mirror finish.

Soft TPE material covers the fan housings for maximum noise and vibration reduction. The Assassin is equipped with one 120mm and one 140mm fan to fulfill the harshest cooling requirements with minimal noise.
