Antec Kühler H20 620 Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Antec Kuhler 620 Cooling Head

Just when you thought liquid cooling was outside your budget, in comes this: The Kühler H2O 620.  The 620 is the smaller option in Antec's all-in-one (AIO) liquid CPU cooling line, but still offers all the benefits of a low profile maintainance free watercooling unit.  Boasting near-silent operation and minimum interanal airflow interference, the Kühler 620 presents the option of liquid cooling to smaller cases, which would make it ideal for budget builds and/or LAN boxes. Regardless of its smaller pump assembly, a thinner radiator and one fewer fan than its big brother (The Kühler 920) , the Kühler 620 will still keep you cool when things start to get interesting.

The Antec KÜHLER H2O 620 delivers high-performance liquid cooling for your CPU in a quick, easy-to-install package. Unlike traditional liquid cooling systems, this self-contained unit comes prefilled and requires no maintenance. The voltage-controlled 120 mm fan and 3rd generation copper coldplate ensure efficient cooling, while the estimated 50,000 hour pump lifetime means this cooler is even likely to outlast the system it cools. Lastly, easy-bend flexible tubing allows the KÜHLER H2O 620 to be installed in nearly any orientation. Take your PC’s Quiet Computing™ to the next level with liquid cooling performance at a price that rivals aftermarket air coolers.

Antec Kühler H2O 620 Box Contents

Without a doubt, Antec has some of the best looking packaging.  Though not quite as pretty to look at as the box for the Kühler H2O 920, the contrasting color scheme is still quite visually engaging.  The front panel shows a stylized image of the 620 cooler as well as listing off CPU chipset compatibility.  The back panel lists the more outstanding design qualities and warranty information.  The side panels contain performance figures and a chart comparing performance between cooler generations.

Inside the box is the following to get you on your way with basically any chipset you'd want or need today:

  • Kühler H2O 620 with pre-applied cooler paste to the cold plate.
  • 120mm fan.
  • 3 different sized sets of mounting screws.
  • 4 small washers.
  • 2 pieces of double-sided foam tape.
  • 4 threaded inserts (for back plate).
  • Back plates for AMD and Intel CPUs.
  • Brackets for AMD and Intel CPUs.
  • Clip-on bracket retaining ring.
  • 4 thumbscrews for LGA 1155, 1156 and 1366.
  • 4 thumbscrews for LGA 2011.
  • 4 top and bottom retainers for thumbscrews.
  • "Instructions."
