Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU Cooler Review - Final Thoughts

Final Thoughts

The Freezer 13 demonstrates Arctic's commitment to maintaining the Freezer legacy of being a great "bang for your buck" cooler.  It bested several larger and more expensive coolers, and hung fairly close to a couple of the better ones we've tested from Coolermaster and Akasa.  We would have like the possibility of adding a second fan for push-pull, but given the market that the Freezer 13 is looking to fill, we understand why that option isn't present.  It has an edgy appearance which adds a splash of pizazz to the cooler without being over-the-top, and the white fan looks clean.  The fan has a high-angle geometry, moves an impressive amount of air given it's RPM range, and is impressively whisper quiet.  The pre-applied high performance MX-4 thermal paste is a great touch for those who don't plan on removing the cooler often and don't want to mess with thermal paste.

Pros:

  • Relatively small
  • Great value
  • Quiet
  • Simple installation

Cons:

  • No option for a second fan
